To the pub
Pubs are amazing places, some good, some bad some just mediocre. The public house, coaching inn, coffee shop and tavern have been a meeting place for hundreds of years. They have reflected changes in social norms, been a mainstay of our social interactions and given rise to ideas and conversation that has shaped our world. This is not a list of all the places I have had a pint. It is a list of places I have enjoyed a pint.
Fox tap, Keswick brewery
Keswick Lovely decent sized brewery bar plus outdoor seating. Range of brewery beers on tap including specials and guests. Been out on your bike? Go here for a beer.
Keswick Small, often busy bar and cafe. Has added more seating indoors. One or two seats kerbside. Good coffee and usually a nice pastry, very good pizza, several taps – generally at least one good.
Grassington A bar, beer garden, outdoor tables kerbside, two dining rooms. Mostly Timothy Taylor on tap. Friendly. Decent pub food.
Pubs with bike parking and coffee
Fox tap, Keswick Brewery. No specific bike parking but on a quiet street, outdoor seating is visible from bar.
